UTGA hosted a training mission for nursery stakeholders from Ethiopia on their excursion to
Uganda from 22nd to 27th July 2018. The aim of the excursion was to build their capacity in the production of high quality clones of high priority timber tree species as a starting point for excellent timber products. It included a 3- day training conducted from 23rd to 25th of July 2019 in Mityana. The team together with UTGA staff traveled to Kisaana Clonal Nursery where a practical hands-on and intensive training was delivered by the nursery owner Mr. Abubaker Mwima. They also visited other nurseries including Seeta seedling nursery, Schnelle Nursery in Namagoma, National Tree Seed Centre in Namanve and Isabella investments plantation in Mpigi.
